I’ll be your host with the most, Adrian Santiago. Thank you so much for joining my newsletter. I hope you’ve enjoyed your holiday season and got a great start to the new year with lots of new books to read.

I’ve been on a bit of a vacation from my online author platform duties and social media as I attempt to focus my energies on book two of the MYTHIC series. The epic adventure, THE FACE OF GAIA promises rollicking fun, high stakes, fantastic characters, and gorgeous locations like the image you see above.

Those of you who’ve read SHADOW OF THE SPARK might recognize this location from Chapter Five, when Mitch and Sirena were exploring. You might also notice the pyramid is no longer covered in the foliage of the forest. Someone has cleared it all away. I wonder what that’s about? Hmmm….

Anywho! The process goes well. My outline is fairly solid, and though I haven’t gotten many pages written, I’m easy on myself because I’ve been world-building like a mofo. You can expect some pretty fantastic maps in the pages of book two. Those have been an interesting challenge!

As for me? I’ve been good. I mean, aside from a horrible ear infection that has turned me into a giant turd, incapable of accomplishing even the simplest tasks. But, you know, that happens. I’m on antibiotics and steroids (the good kind?), and getting better each day.

But the work never ends! So this Saturday, January 27th, I’ll be at the Hilton in Gainesville, Florida, selling books at my table at the Sunshine State Book Festival. If you’re in Florida, take a drive up or down and join us for a real nerdfest!
